Our story
Two nurses, 30 printers, and way too many plants.
Hi! We’re Jill and Caryn — best friends, nurses, and the plant-obsessed pair behind Wild Buds. This all started because our husbands joked that we were hoarding too many plants. (There’s no such thing, but we humored them.)
In 2018 we took some of our extra plants to a local plant fair to “unload” a few. We ended up adopting more plants than we sold. But the planters — the ones Jill’s husband had been 3D printing for her at home — sold out in an hour. That was the spark that became Wild Buds.
Fast-forward to today: over 30 printers humming away in Pennsylvania, thousands of planters shipped to loving homes, and weekends spent at plant shows all over PA. By day we still rock the scrubs. By night (and every weekend), we print little characters that make plants — and people — smile.
Since 2018
Started at a plant fair, still family-run.
30+ printers
Every planter printed to order in Pennsylvania.
Thousands of planters
Shipped to plant people near and far.
Why nurses make good plant people
Caring for living things is kind of our whole deal. We’re detail people — we check every print by hand, we put a drainage hole in every pot, and we don’t ship anything we wouldn’t give our own mom. Call it plant triage: your leafy friends are in good hands.
How every planter gets made
01
Designed in-house
Every character starts as a sketch (and a pun) at our kitchen table.
02
Printed to order, in your color
Your planter is printed after you order it, on one of our 30+ printers, from plant-based PLA made with US-sourced filament.
03
Hand-checked & cleaned up
We check every print, tidy the edges and test the drainage hole.
04
Packed and shipped in 2 days
Wrapped with care, with a note from us, out the door in 2 business days.
The Wild Buds Promise
If your planter arrives broken, prints wrong, or just isn’t your vibe, tell us within 30 days. We’ll reprint it or refund you — no need to send it back.
Find us IRL
We’re still local, and we still do plant shows all over Pennsylvania. If you spot our tent, come say hello — we love talking plants, pots and printers. (And yes, we’re the chicken-and-waffles pair. Long story. Ask us at the booth.)
